Tenured Professorship in "Mesoscopic Quantum Dynamics" (W2 salary)

We are looking for a person with an outstanding track-record in teaching and research. The research area should include mesoscopic quantum dynamics with a focus on photonics and quantum optics and should complement existing research topics in a meaningful way. Research areas may focus for example on materials for use in optoelectronics and quantum electronics with applications in spin systems and energy conversion. Active involvement in existing and future research networks such as the Collaborative Research Centre TRR227 "Ultrafast Spin Dynamics" is expected. The collaboration with other groups within the faculty and with the external Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics and the Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems IMWS in Halle is strongly encouraged. Furthermore the teaching of several courses in theoretical physics as part of the bachelor, master and teacher training degree programs as well as the participation in the self-administration are expected. The courses on bachelor and teacher training level are to be held in German.
